In order to adapt the cooling performance and volume development of the PC to one's own and changing requirements, this control allows direct access via six channels. The manufacturer Lamptron opted for a classic layout with rotary controls.

These are housed on a massive, black aluminum panel in 5.25-inch format and are intended for corresponding slots. According to the manufacturer, each of the six channels can be loaded with a maximum of 30 watts. The continuous adjustment via rotary control offers a bandwidth of 0 to 12 volts. Thanks to a starting voltage of 12 volts on all channels, fans that are designed for a minimum voltage also start up.

Thanks to six freely placeable temperature sensors, the heat output can always be kept in view in order to select the optimal speed in each case. The sensors are mounted on the tips of extra long cables. Since the 3-pin fan cables are also generously dimensioned, even remote locations in big-tower cases can be reached.

The controller is connected to the power supply via a 4-pin Molex and supplied with power via this. In addition to the high functionality, the FC5 fan controller from Lamptron also convinces with a cool look. In addition to the high-quality choice of materials, the lighting is particularly striking. Thanks to multi-color LEDs, a total of sixteen colors can be displayed. They are selected via jumpers on the back.

Additional jumpers allow you to switch between the temperature units degrees Celsius and Fahrenheit and to (de)activate the alarm function. This reports any critical temperatures.

Note: The knobs stick out a bit, so that installation in housings with a front door is usually not possible.
