The D.F. Storm of the well-known power supply manufacturer Enermax extends the already impressive scope of the fan offer by a particularly powerful fan, which is specially designed for CPU coolers and radiators. The D.F. Storm is designed especially for overclockers, but is suitable for other demanding applications, such as in the server area or industrial plants.
This takes over numerous technologies of other high-end fans from Enermax. The most striking common feature is the shape of the fan blades. These are not even, but bent wavy. As a result, the D. Storm generates an enormous amount of static pressure and ensures extremely efficient cooling with minimal noise.
The D.F. Storm uses the Adjustable Peak Speed feature. A small switch on the fan frame can be used to adjust the speed spectrum in three stages. In the smallest performance mode, the speed moves between 1,500 and 2,200 rpm. The middle stage named overclock mode runs at 1,500 to 2,800 rpm. The turbo mode covers the entire speed range from 1,500 to 3,500 rpm. Within the selected operating mode, the speed control is carried out automatically via the PWM control of the mainboard. For an extremely long life of up to 160,000 hours MTBF ensures the Enermax patented Twister bearing technology. Thanks to her the fan runs quieter and quieter. After starting, the fan first runs in the opposite direction for 10 seconds to shake off accumulated dust. The fan blades can also be removed by a simple click for cleaning.
