LANCOOL II: Midi tower for air and water cooling
Anyone who relies on classic air cooling will really enjoy this case, as the LANCOOL II offers installation options for a total of eight fans. Three 120 or two 140mm fans can be mounted on the front, two up to 140mm models on the lid, two 120mm fans can fit above the power supply cover, and a 120mm model can be attached to the back of the case. Three 120-millimeter fans are factory-installed in the Midi Tower: one on the front, one on the back and one on the lid. For CPU coolers maximum height of 176 millimeters are provided.
Also on the installation of complete and custom water cooling Lian Li has thought: on the front of a 360-type triple radiator or a 280er dual radiator can be mounted. A removable holder facilitates installation. This can be mounted in two different ways to give up to 110 millimeters of space for heat exchangers and fans or to remove the fans farther from the front panel with a narrower radiator. On the cover a 240er radiator can be mounted. Here a total depth of 65 millimeters is planned.
Chic and functional design
The LANCOOL II was specifically designed to cool powerful hardware and offers numerous air intakes: The otherwise smooth front cover of the case is characterized by two 35-millimeter-wide mesh strips and provided with an aluminum plaque and manufacturer's name. The back, the lid and the case back are also provided with generous air inlets and outlets. The front and the lid are equipped with magnetic dust filters, the dust filter under the power supply is in a slot. Thus, all filters are removable and can be easily cleaned.
But the LANCOOL II has not only functional, but also a lot to offer visually: through the mesh openings of the side surfaces of the smooth, trapezoidal front appears the integrated digitally addressable RGB illumination of the housing. Both side walls are made of tempered glass. They are attached to hinges on the back of the case and fold backwards.
However, Lian Li has succeeded in closing it with a special trick: The side doors are closed by means of a magnet, completely without screws. Additional support is provided by the downwardly opening cover panels made of sheet steel, which also serve to cover cables. This concept continues on the back of the motherboard tray, where additional cover plates keep most cables hidden from the curious eye.
Lots of space for components and drives
The completely black interior offers ample space for high-performance hardware, for example for E-ATX mainboards up to a width of 280 millimeters and high-performance gaming graphics cards with up to 384 millimeters in length. Two 2.5-inch SSDs can be mounted on individual carriers on the back of the motherboard tray. The right cover panel houses two more 2.5 "drives on the inside. Under the power supply cover of the LANCOOL II is a drive cage for three 3.5- or 2.5-inch drives. Behind it is an ATX power supply with up to 210 mm depth.
The LANCOOL II I / O panel features two USB 3.0 Type A ports and a four-pin 3.5mm jack for headsets. In addition to the power and reset buttons, there are also two buttons for controlling the RGB lighting in the control elements.
In addition, a USB-C port is prepared. The corresponding connection cable with a USB 3.1 type C socket can be purchased separately.
Danger! The manufacturer points out that 140 or 280 Radiaoren must never be mounted to the inside of the radiator holder, as this may otherwise be bent. Please note the instructions in the manual.
Danger! The 3-pin RGB connection cable of the integrated RGB illumination must only be connected to a corresponding 3-pin header (5V) for digitally addressable RGB accessories.
