The Alphacool Eisbecher Aurora reservoir has an integrated pump top for powerful D5 pumps and is supplied with a VPP Apex pump. The reservoir tube is made of glass, the D5/VPP pump top and the lid are made of acetal. The combination of these two materials gives the reservoir a unique and elegant look. 12 digitally addressable RGB LEDs in the pump top and the light tower water effect inside the glass tube create the wow effect.

Extensive assembly options
Mounting option 1:
The scope of delivery includes feet which, among other things, enable the expansion tank to be mounted on the bottom of the housing.

Mounting option 2:
The scope of delivery includes 120mm/140mm mounting frames with which the Eisbecher Aurora expansion tank can be attached to any free fan slots, radiators or to the fans on radiators.

Digitally addressable RGB lighting
12 digitally addressable RGB LEDs illuminate the glass tube of the expansion tank. They are arranged in a ring at the lower end of the tube in the transition to the pump top and ensure brilliant illumination of the entire expansion tank. In combination with the Lighttower water effect, a very special ambience is achieved. Particularly through the reflections in the real glass. The digital aRGB LED lighting is connected via a JST 3-pin connector and can be controlled with a digital RGB controller (e.g. Alphacool Aurora Eiscontrol, Art.15360) or a digital RGB capable mainboard.

Lighttower water effect
A special water effect is created in the ice cream sundae reservoir via the riser tubes. If you do not fill the expansion tank beyond the upper edge of the riser tube, you get a kind of fountain effect. The water is pushed out of the sides of the riser tube and sprayed against the glass tube. The effect is stronger or weaker depending on the flow of the circuit.

pump
The VPP Apex pump does not have a spherical bearing and uses a ceramic axle. The motor coils have been moved from the inside to the outside. The changes mean that the pump is fundamentally more stable and runs more smoothly and vibrations have been significantly reduced. Another positive side effect is that power consumption has been almost halved. In comparison to Alphacool's ice pumps, the power supply is not via a 4-pin Molex connection. Instead, the Apex VPP pump is connected to the power supply using a SATA connection. The Apex VPP pump has a 4-pin fan connection that is connected to the mainboard or to an external controller. This allows the speed range of the pump to be controlled and read via PWM.

Note on application
Please use only in conjunction with clear transparent water cooling fluids. The particles and additives in Pastel liquids can clog and permanently damage water cooling products such as radiators, pumps, coolers and hoses. This can result in voiding the manufacturer's warranty as well.
